Overview

Lead Business Analyst role at Reserve Bank of Australia.
n
The role is part of the IT Department, Technology Risk, Strategy and Performance team. It involves designing and delivering data-driven solutions to optimise the IT Department operating model and shaping a new function reporting to the Manager of IT Workforce Planning & Enablement.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Shape the design and implementation of functional capabilities within the IT Department, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and future-state operating models. Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, success criteria, and embedding requirements to enable operating model enhancements.
n
Provide expertise and operational advice to the IT executive and senior leadership teams to support capability uplift and organisational transformation initiatives.
n
Apply a data-driven approach and maintain metrics and reporting to measure and forecast the IT department's short- and long-term needs, working with key stakeholders to ensure workforce capabilities are met.
n
Provide expert guidance and support to IT managers in the use of tools, techniques and capability assessment, ensuring regular reviews for workforce readiness and agility.
n
Lead business analysis activities across strategic IT Department initiatives, including requirements capture, stakeholder engagement, process mapping, and solution assessment to support delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions.
n
Support the design, development and implementation of organisational development strategies, frameworks and solutions to build organisational effectiveness aligned to IT department and Bank strategy.
n
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and alignment within the IT Department and across the Bank to support target operating model implementation and capability development.
n
Contribute to an environment of continuous development, keeping people at the centre of design and implementation approaches.
n
Contribute to operational effectiveness and simplification initiatives within and across the IT department.
n

About you
n
n
Solid experience in organisational development and transformation initiatives, with change management skills (people, process, system) to achieve outcomes.
n
Ability to advise and influence people leaders using data-driven insights to shape decisions.
n
Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver shared outcomes.
n
Proven experience in business analysis leadership, including leading requirements, process improvement and solution evaluation across complex IT or enterprise-wide initiatives.
n
Experience engaging and managing third parties in support of organisational change and development outcomes.
n
Understanding of IT workforce planning and organisational capability development to align strategies with evolving technology and business needs.
n
Familiarity with IT operations and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and ability to apply them to organisational development and business analysis.
n
Strong communications skills,
including presenting to senior leaders.
n
Experience integrating organisational development strategies into people solutions to drive employee experience and behavioural change.
n
Experience and knowledge in IT and HR business domains is a plus.
