Role Overview
n
The Senior Manager – Risk Policy & Strategy will shape and strengthen AP+'s enterprise risk framework, leading the development and continuous improvement of risk policies, standards and strategic initiatives. The role ensures alignment with business objectives and regulatory expectations, embeds a risk mindset across the organization, and partners with senior stakeholders to influence decision‐making and drive meaningful change.

Core Accountabilities

Lead the development, implementation and ongoing enhancement of AP+'s risk management strategy, framework, policies and standards.
n
Develop risk appetite measures and supporting metrics, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting across the organisation.
n
Design and deliver initiatives that strengthen risk culture, capability and organisational awareness through engagement, training and communications.
n
Partner with senior stakeholders to provide expert advice on risk policy, governance and strategic risk initiatives.
n
Facilitate workshops and collaborate with business leaders to embed risk management practices into everyday decision-making.
n
Design and implement approaches to measure the effectiveness, adoption and continuous improvement of risk policies and frameworks.
n
Drive the governance, consultation and approval process for enterprise risk policies and supporting documentation.
n
Monitor emerging regulatory, industry and operational developments to keep the risk framework up‐to‐date with best practice.

Qualifications & Capabilities
n
n
Significant experience developing and implementing enterprise risk frameworks, policies, standards and governance within a complex organisation.
n
Demonstrated experience designing and embedding risk awareness, engagement and cultural uplift programmes across diverse stakeholder groups.
n
Strong knowledge of risk management principles, regulatory expectations and contemporary governance frameworks.
n
Ability to translate strategy into practical initiatives that improve organisational capability and strengthen risk maturity.
n
Excellent stakeholder management skills, influencing senior leaders and building alignment across the business.
n
Strong analytical and problem‐solving capability, using data and insights to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
n
Experience preparing high‐quality reports, strategic papers and recommendations for executive leadership and governance forums.
n
Outstanding communication and facilitation skills, simplifying complex concepts and engaging both technical and non‐technical audiences.
n
A cooperative leadership style, passionate about continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and building organisational capability.
