Job Description
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key assurance role across roadway, services, stormwater, and earthworks packages within a tunnelling environment. You will act as a trusted verifier, ensuring that works are delivered in accordance with design, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Carryout regular surveillance of the project works at all stages
n
Complete and file records (including photographic) for every surveillance activity, and communicate any significant issue identified on site in a timely manner to Builder & Principal
n
Monitoring and reporting workplace health and safety compliance and environmental impacts
n
Attend Hold and Witness Points and manage outcomes
n
Conducting and or attending audits on the Builder's onsite and offsite works
n
Reviewing construction documentation
n
Review assigned NCR dispositions
n
Undertaking Process Control Reviews (PCRs)
n
Review of construction work lots and Quality Management records
n
Participation in completions processes
n
Review of as-built records and completions documentation
n
Attending defect walks and verifying defect closure
n
Supporting the CV Construction Zone Lead
n

About You
n




You are a highly experienced civil engineer with a solid background in construction verification, quality assurance, and infrastructure delivery.
n
Qualifications & Experience
n
n
Recognised Engineering qualification (Civil or equivalent)
n
Minimum 10 years' experience in infrastructure projects (roads, tunnelling, civil works)
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Construction Verification (CV) role
n
Demonstrated experience in roadway construction (essential)
n
Experience working on tunnel infrastructure projects (highly regarded)
n
Experience in South Australia projects or regulatory environments (preferred)
n

Skills & Attributes

Strong understanding of quality assurance, hold points, and compliance frameworks
n
Proven ability to interpret technical documentation and specifications
n
Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills
n
High level of attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality outcomes
n
Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively within project teams
n
