Position Summary
n
The Support Worker will provide assistance to clients inaccordance with their individual NDIS plans, promoting
independence,safety,
and overall well-being.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
Provide support to clients in line withtheir NDIS goals and support plans
n
Assist with daily living
activities,including
eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
n
Provide transportation support toappointments and community activities
n
Deliver respite care to clients and theirfamilies when required
n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date recordsof client care plans and progress notes
n
Communicate effectively with clients,families, and other members of the care team
n
Adhere to all health and safety policiesand procedures to ensure client well-being
n
Participate in ongoing
professionaldevelopment
to remain current with NDIS best practices
n

Requirements
n
n




Female support workers only as required by the client
n
Holds a valid Australian driver's licence and has access to an insured vehicle
n
Experience with PBSP and restrictive practices is essential
n
Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent
n
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or related field), or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded)
n
Lived experience and/or paid experience supporting people with disability
n
Must be currently located in Australia at the time of application
n
Must hold valid work rights and lawful permission to live and work in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available)
n
Availability to work across day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends
n
Solid understanding of the NDIS and its Practice Standards
n
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and duty of care obligations
n
Ability to support a diverse client base with cultural awareness and sensitivity to varying abilities, backgrounds, and communication needs
n
Basic care skills, including first aid (or willingness to obtain)
