Overview
We're working with a business at the centre of the digital and energy infrastructure build-out, operating in a sector absorbing very large amounts of capital right now.
The financing is constant, and the assets are significant.
What the business needs is someone to run the treasury function that sits behind those facilities properly, and to build the processes that will hold as it scales.
It's a hands-on operational treasury role with genuine technical depth, and the person who takes it will end up knowing the underlying business model better than almost anyone.
The role
Manage the existing facilities day to day.
Key terms, rate sets, interest accruals, fee amortisation, and the monthly compliance cycle including covenant certificates and lender reporting
Run the cash waterfall.
Facility payments, transfers to and from liquidity accounts, controlled account reconciliations and minimum balance requirements
Own weekly funding and cash forecasting across project-level and corporate requirements, with the FX that goes alongside it
Manage the hedging operations.
Confirmations, settlements, ISDA documentation, valuations and hedge accounting support, working with the GM Treasury on strategy
Maintain and update the covenant model, and produce the monthly reporting that lenders, equity investors and SPV arrangements require
Bank guarantees, counterparty credit reporting, KYC and treasury controls
Lead the treasury management system implementation,
automated bank feeds and straight-through processing
What we're looking for
Five or more years across corporate treasury, project finance operations or structured finance
Project or asset-level financing experience, not just group facilities.
This is the requirement that matters most.
If you've managed a real facility with real CPs, a real waterfall and real covenant tests, you'll recognise this role immediately
Comfort with the financial model.
You'll be updating covenant models and reconciling them to reporting, so this needs to be a strength rather than something you delegate
Working knowledge of FX and derivatives, ISDAs, confirmations, settlements and hedge accounting support
Solid systems capability across ERP, banking platforms and treasury systems, and an interest in automating what's currently manual
Control discipline and attention to detail.
A lot of what you produce goes to lenders, so accuracy is the baseline
Worth being direct about one thing.
This is an operational treasury role rather than a transaction one.
If your background is entirely on the bank side and what you want is deal execution, this probably isn't the right fit.
Why apply
A business growing quickly in a sector with global relevance and very few precedents
Real ownership.
You'd be building the treasury function rather than maintaining someone else's
Founder-led, accessible leadership, and decisions that get made in days rather than quarters
