With a rapidly evolving pipeline and significant investment in future therapies, the organisation is strengthening its Market Access capability to ensure reimbursement strategy, evidence planning and commercial decision-making are integrated early in the development of future assets.
About the Role
This is a key strategic leadership appointment within an established Reimbursement and Pricing function, combining Health Economics leadership, people development and senior business partnering.
Leading a small team of experienced Health Economics professionals, you'll shape reimbursement and pricing strategy across an exciting portfolio of emerging and established therapies.
You'll work closely with Commercial,



Medical and Market Access leaders to assess future opportunities, identify evidence requirements and help determine the strongest access strategies across multiple assets and indications.
You'll retain strong technical involvement while translating complex HTA and reimbursement issues into clear commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Longer term, the role provides opportunity to continue developing towards broader functional leadership.
Duties
Lead reimbursement and Health Economics strategy across designated pipeline and in-market assets
Lead and develop experienced Health Economics professionals, setting priorities and building team capability
Shape high-quality PBAC and broader HTA submission strategies
Partner closely with Commercial and Medical teams on early asset and portfolio planning
Provide strategic Market Access input into indication prioritisation, evidence requirements and future access opportunities
Translate complex HTA, pricing and reimbursement issues into clear commercial recommendations
Develop reimbursement and pricing strategies aligned with broader portfolio and business objectives
Critically assess economic models, assumptions and evidence strategies
Lead responses to payer and HTA feedback throughout the reimbursement process
Partner with global and regional Market Access and evidence teams




Manage external consultants and vendors where specialist support is required
Build productive relationships with relevant government, industry and external stakeholders
Monitor the evolving reimbursement and policy environment and translate changes into portfolio strategy
Skills and Experience
Established strategic and hands on experience within Health Economics and Market Access
Strong understanding of Australian HTA and reimbursement, including PBAC
Demonstrated experience developing reimbursement and Market Access strategy
Strong technical Health Economics foundation with the confidence to interrogate and critically assess economic models
Ability to translate complex technical information into commercially relevant recommendations
Strong cross-functional business partnering experience across Commercial, Medical and other senior stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience developing and mentoring technical professionals
Tertiary qualifications in Health Sciences, Economics or a related discipline
Highly regarded
Formal people-management experience within Health Economics or Market Access
Experience influencing early pipeline, launch or portfolio strategy
Experience across oncology, rare disease or other complex reimbursement environments
Postgraduate qualifications in Health Economics or Public Health
