About the role
The Network Policy officer provides expert policy advice and develops practical solutions to complex transport network challenges, considering the relationship between transport operations, land use planning and competing interests.
It helps the Department respond to emerging and future challenges and improve outcomes for the Victorian community.

Designs and develops effective policy solutions, using sound judgement, available evidence and guidelines to address complex issues and inform decisions.
Thinks critically and solves problems, identifying relevant information, seeking input where needed and applying practical solutions in the right context.
Works collaboratively and builds partnerships, engaging stakeholders, experts and teams to understand needs, share insights and co-create effective solutions.
Communicates with impact, presenting information clearly and concisely and tailoring communication to different audiences.
Focuses on outcomes and community impact, connecting day-to-day work with broader organisational priorities and delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes.
Qualifications and experience
You'llbring:




Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as engineering, law, economics or public policy (desirable)
An understanding of policy development and three years' experience in transport or planning (desirable).
