Are you an experienced driver who enjoys helping people andtakes pride in providing a safe, reliable and friendly service?
We are looking for a Driver to join our team, providingessential transport, deliveries and support services for patients, residents,staff and healthcare operations.
This is a varied role where you willcontribute to the smooth running of our services while maintaining highstandards of safety, cleanliness and infection prevention.
About the role
As a Driver, you will be responsible for a range oftransport and support services, including delivery services, patient transport,wheelchair bus services and medical waste disposal.
Your responsibilities will include:
Deliveringlaundry, food services, medical oxygen and general supplies in accordancewith transport schedules
Providingsafe and respectful transport for patients, residents and clients betweenhealthcare facilities, homes and community locations
Transportingpassengers using the wheelchair-accessible bus and following all relevantpatient and restraint procedures
Ensuringtransport vehicles and the wheelchair bus are clean, safe and wellmaintained
Cleaningthe soiled linen trailer in accordance with infection prevention andcontrol requirements
Followingall health and safety, infection prevention and organisational policiesand procedures
Participatingin accreditation and quality improvement activities
About you
You will be a reliable, responsible and safety-focuseddriver who enjoys working with people and being part of a healthcare team.
You will have:
Acurrent Class 1 New Zealand Driver Licence
Experiencedriving larger vehicles, including buses
Afriendly, caring and thoughtful manner
Goodcommunication and interpersonal skills
Astrong commitment to safety and providing a professional service
Theability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team
It would be an advantage if you have:
AClass 2 or higher New Zealand Driver Licence
Previousnursing or healthcare experience
Experienceworking in a healthcare or community environment
Knowledgeof infection prevention, waste management or patient transportrequirements
