The City of Albany's Civil Works Team islooking for an experienced, safe, and qualified individual to take up the roleof Civil Worker.
The role is available from level 3 to 6 dependent on your level of skills,experience, and qualifications.
Reporting tothe Supervisor – Civil, this role will see you responsible for safely and responsiblyoperating plant and equipment and undertaking manual tasks.The Civil Works Team perform a wide range of tasksincluding road construction and maintenance, drainage, concrete works, signage,road sweeping, fencing and general maintenance.
Depending on yourskills, qualifications, and experience, you may be considered for a range ofopportunities within the Civil Works Team, including Drainage Operator, HCTruck Driver, HR Truck Driver, or Offsider positions.
About You
Possession of excellentinterpersonal skills, basic oral, written and numeracy skills along withphysical fitness capable of undertaking manual labor are essential.
Previous experienceas a machine operator (skidsteer,roller, loader, excavator)withassociated tickets, and experience working within a civil construction team isrequired for levels 5 and above.
Candidates with demonstrated experience orqualifications in drainage operations, HC or HR truck driving, or offsiderduties are strongly encouraged to apply.
