Job Description of ETL-DW Test Manager (BFSI Domain) in Australia:

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Delivery of multiple testing projects to approved scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
n
Responsible for working closely with external testing service providers to deliver test functions
n
Responsible for assurance activities across all test deliverables such as review of test estimates, strategies, schedules, plans and completion reports.
n
Management and influence of key testing stakeholders and project sponsors.
n
Promote and instil test process excellence, efficiency, and reduced cost to project deployment.
n
Manage testing vendors to quality commitments.
n
Definition of Test Strategy for BI projects
n
Performing a combined lead and test execution role on large pieces of project work as assigned by the Solution Design and Test Governance Manager.
n
n
Key Tasks
n
n
Project planning, resourcing and scheduling of their assigned engagements and provide support to Business Operations for delivery planning of other engagements
n
Provide leadership to internal and external teams, assist teams as required with the delivery of services
n
Be the go to person for staff and customer delivery issues
n
Ensure services and product delivery to clients meets clients expectations and adhere to Customer delivery requirements
n
Provide guidance on delivery methods
n
Perform quality assurance for engagement deliverables (with assistance from Principals and Capability Leads)
n
Ensure risk management is in place and applied to the delivery of engagement.
n




10+ years experience in governing and managing the IT testing function preferably within a financial service organisation.
n
Experience leading large teams and programs for delivery of technical outcomes
n
Proven reporting and documentation skills including the creation of strategic and tactical plans, producing reports for various audiences and the drafting of functional and non-functional tests cases.
n
Agile delivery lead experience
n
Expertise with CI/CD, and continuous testing
n
Experience providing support for teams in excess of 20 staff
n
Experience in managing outcomes and/or capabilities within large enterprise environments
n
Solid risk management ability to assess projects, clients and environments for risks that may impact the business
n
Desirable:
Compliance/Regulatory
experience

Desirable: Banking/Finance background
n
Desirable: Experience with JIRA and Confluence
n

Skills Required
n
n
Previous successful test management of several projects including at least 5 years' experience as a Test Manager is essential
n
Deep knowledge of the software Systems Development Lifecycle is essential
n
Deep knowledge of test processes, practices and methods is essential
n
A proven track record of managing and delivering successful test outcomes in a complex environment is essential
n
Prior knowledge of software products from Netezza / AWS / SAS / Cognos / Tableau is highly desirable
n
Prior experience working in the Business Intelligence domain is highly desirable
n
Prior experience working in the Banking and Insurance domain is desirable
n
Prior experience working with JIRA and Confluence is desirable
