Our client is looking for a Quant Analyst/Quant Trader to join the core team in Queensland, Australia. The focus is predictive modelling - building, maintaining, and improving models that feed into live trading across sports betting and, increasingly, equities markets. This is a live trading environment, not a research lab. The emphasis is on moving fast, solving unique problems, across a flat team structure with no bureaucracy. This is an opportunity to work directly with a founder that's previously led a top performing quant desk.

What They're Looking For

There's no single path in, and no requirement for prior trading experience required. The focus is on sports betting markets,



but prior experience there isn't a prerequisite.

What does matter
n
n
2+ years of qualified experience in a quantitative role - exceptional candidates outside this range considered
n
Predictive modelling capability, however developed - the application will be taught, the fundamentals need to be there.
n
Speed of thought - this is not an environment for getting lost in a problem; you need to be able to move and react quickly.

Compensation
n
n
Base: USD $90,000–$130,000 (AUD $140,000–$200,000) depending on experience
n
Bonus: Profit-share based
n
Equity: on the table for top performers.
