Job Description
Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm offering civil site, structural, land surveying, and GIS services. Since its founding in ****, our team has grown to over 150 team members with six locations. We operate in three states serving our six service lines - Infrastructure + Analytics, Site, Structures, Survey, Transportation, and Water Resources. We have office locations in Missouri – St. Louis and Jefferson City, Illinois - Collinsville and Effingham and Kentucky – Louisville and Prestonsburg.

About the Role:

Schedule:
n
Part-Time; 32 hours per week. 8:00-3:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8-12 on Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day.
n
Job Description:
n
Hospitality specialists are primarily tasked with welcoming visitors and creating a warm and friendly atmosphere to make both guests and our team comfortable. This position will report to the President and the People Success Leader, and be part of a team of hospitality specialists across our other offices. Based in the St. Louis office, this position will work with many of the service leaders and support a variety of areas within the company including operations, office management, and facilities. This role plays a key role in front desk operations, office space logistics,
event planning and other special projects as assigned.

Hospitality:
n
n
Answers phones, communicates via email, and interacts professionally with clients, customers, and team members each day
n
Demonstrates problem-solving abilities and handles issues professionally and efficiently
n
Distribute organization-wide communication to team members and prepares new hire materials
n
Maintains a welcoming, clean work area that is organized and free of clutter
n
Prioritizes safety and security when managing the front desk operations
n
Ensure the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions, handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity
n
n
Operational Duties:
n
n
Handles purchasing gift cards as necessary
n
Partners with People Success team on new team member workstation set up
n
Organizes and supports travel reservations (e.g. hotels, cars, and conferences) requested by team members
n
Manages President's calendar by adding and updating applicable events and reminders
n
Supports President and People Success Lead with administrative tasks and special projects as needed
n
n
Office Space:
n
n
Collaborates with vendors to ensure all requests are handled promptly (such as virtual technology services, copiers/printers, plant company, other office supplies, etc. )
n
Responsible for daily mail or courier needs
n
Maintains a clean office environment between third-party cleanings
n
Helps with furniture tracking and order purchasing as needed
n
Manages office map and seating availability for office location
n
Orders and stocks office and safety supplies, office snacks and drinks to ensure the office maintains CDI hospitality standards
n
Prepares meeting rooms for interviews, internal meetings, CDI events, or external meetings
n
Helps with in office decorating as needed to create an inviting space for team members and guests
n
n
Events:
n
n
Helps set up and coordinate internal company wide meetings
n
Assists with coordinating office events in partnership with internal committees, People Success team, Hospitality team or President
n
Other duties as assigned or tasked for special events – during these events hours may be flexed
n
n
Requirements
n
n
High school diploma
n
Friendly, helpful, and customer service-oriented attitude
n
Detail oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills
n
Strong ability to problem solve and solution focused mindset
n
Corresponds effectively and professionally in both oral and written communication
n
Ability to work core hours when the office is open for clients and the CDI team
n
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
n
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing; frequent bending, twisting and reaching; must be able to frequently lift 30 lbs.
n
n
The anticipated base hourly rate range for this position is $*****-$*****/hour. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
