Job Description
About you: You're not looking for a "keep the lights on" brand role. You want a seat at the table, real ownership, and the runway to build something that people actually see.
n
At RSEA, we're building something exciting – a brand portfolio that cements us as a household name in Australian retail - and we need a Senior Brand Manager who's sharp, rapid, commercially minded, and happy to roll their sleeves up and get it done.
n
This is for an ambitious, confident, and itching for progression person.
n
The Role-
n
You'll lead brand strategy and execution across a core part of our portfolio - including RSEA Masterbrand and our vertical brands - working closely with Product/Merch, Retail Ops, Digital/eComm partners and our in-house creative team.
n
You'll be the person who turns "we should..." into clear plans, killer briefs, and work that lands across retail, CRM and owned channels.
n
You'll have autonomy, visibility, and expectation. This role is high impact.
n
What you'll do :
n
n
Own the brand plan: positioning, key messages, campaigns, seasonal moments and product stories.
n
Build briefs that don't get forgotten about: clear, commercial, inspiring, and easy to execute in a fast-paced business.
n
Drive integrated go-to-market: retail, CRM, content, in-store, catalogues, partnerships - the full ecosystem.
n
Be the glue: align Product/Merch, Planning, Retail, Agencies and Creative so we move as one team.
n
Guard the brand: consistency, tone of voice, creative standards, and customer experience.
n
Make it better every week: fix what's broken, simplify what's messy, lift what's average.
n
Measure what matters: brand health signals, campaign learnings,
customer insights and "what we do next".
n
Possess Australian work rights as they are required for this position.
n
This role is based 5 days a week, onsite in our modern Hurstville support office.
n
n
What success looks like in 90 days
n
n
You've got a grip on the portfolio, the customer, and the trading rhythm
n
You've improved the quality of briefs and reduced rework
n
You've built at least one strong integrated piece of work (campaign, launch, or brand refresh)
n
Stakeholders trust you because you're commercial + clear + calm under pressure
n
You're already building the next 6–12 months of brand momentum
n
n
You'll be great if you're...
n
n
A strong brand operator with 6–10+ years' experience (retail, FMCG, agencies, or a mix)
n
Commercially switched on - you understand product, margin, customer, and store realities
n
Comfortable working fast without losing the plot
n
Able to influence senior stakeholders without ego or fluff
n
The type who sees a gap and fixes it (you don't wait to be asked)
n
Hands-on: you can write copy, sense-check creative, build a plan, and chase the detail when needed
n
A natural collaborator who also holds standards high
n
n
Why RSEA
n
n
Progression: this is a genuine step-up role with clear growth pathways.
n
Impact: big brand opportunity, lots to build, and leadership that wants momentum.
n
Variety: retail + brand + CRM + in-store + partnerships + B2B - you won't be bored.
n
In-house creative horsepower: designers on hand, real output, real speed.
n
Good humans, no nonsense: we like people who do the work and keep it real.
