Your new company A globally recognised science and infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join its procurement team on an initial 6-month contract based in Perth or Geraldton. Operating in a highly regulated and project-driven environment, this organisation delivers world-leading scientific and engineering initiatives through collaboration with government agencies, research institutions, and international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading complex RFQ, RFT and sourcing activities.
n
Developing procurement and commercial strategies.
n
Managing tender evaluations and supplier negotiations.
n
Preparing procurement recommendations for governance committees.
n
Supporting contract development and administration.
n
Managing commercial risk and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
n
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
n
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and procurement best practice.
n
Supporting procurement systems, processes and reporting frameworks.
n

What you'll need to succeed
n




To be successful you will demonstrate:
n
n
Extensive experience managing complex procurement and tendering activities.
n
Strong contract negotiation and commercial acumen.
n
Experience developing procurement strategies and sourcing plans.
n
The ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
n
Experience within a highly regulated workplace such as government, infrastructure, defence, resources, utilities, engineering or major projects.
n
Strong written communication and procurement governance experience.
n
MCIPS accreditation or equivalent procurement qualifications will be highly regarded.
n
Exposure to NEC4 contracts would be advantageous.
n
