Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. Harmony owns 100% of the Eva Copper project, a near-term copper project in Queensland, Australia. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer the Project Engineer, will play a vital role in delivering safe and timely engineering projects from concept to completion.
n
This role offers a unique split: 50% Brisbane-based (5/2 roster) 50% PNG-based (9/5 roster at Hidden Valley Mine PNG)
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Lead the execution of approved capital projects.
n
Develop scopes of work and prepare submissions with cost estimates.
n
Manage change processes and stakeholder communications.
n
Ensure compliance with industry codes and quality standards.
n
Coordinate site works with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
n
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
n
Assist with other projects for the company as requested
n
n
About You:
n
We're looking for a self-motivated professional with:
n
n
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in project engineering and construction scopes
n
Contractor and package management experience
n
Knowledge of HV electrical systems, VSDs, and BESS design and installation experience. (preferably industrial scale)
n
Familiarity with Australian and PNG standards
n
n
