The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Advisor – Operations Interface with Mechanical background.
n
Your role is to provide technical expertise in operations & maintenance (O&M;) focusing on Mechanical discipline. This role will be embedded in Alkimos Seawater Alliance (ASWA) during the design & construct phase to assist in the delivery of a fit for purpose plant.
n
This is a full-time fixed term prospect until 30th June **** based at the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant.
n
About the role:
n
As embedded project team member in the design & construction (D&C;) Alkimos SeaWater Alliance, the role will represent Water Corporation's operations interest and provide guidance to the Alliances in understanding and implementing Water Corporation's operations and maintenance (O&M;) requirements.
n
A key driver for this role is improving Operational Integration during the design and construct phase of the project to improve the overall outcome for O&M.;
n
Your role will support the development of systems, planning and procedures for maintenance, assist verifying the constructed plant is fit for purpose and provide mechanical technical advice.
n
What the role will involve:
n
Assist the Asset Delivery Representative to represent asset management and O&M; stakeholders, influencing the project team to ensure fit for purpose, lowest overall cost outcomes for all parties.
n
Provide O&M; technical liaison between the Alliance and the Corporation.
n
Provide extensive technical advice based on inherent knowledge of operational, maintenance and asset management process, requirements, and procedures.
n
Provide guidance for the Alliance to understand and implement Water Corporation's operations and maintenance requirements.
n
Identify the key risks and business impacts that may arise during the project life cycle and ensures key stakeholders are informed on potential impacts, mitigation, and contingency measures.
n
Key skills and experience required.
n
This role requires people with practical experience in operating or maintaining water treatment assets and have sound knowledge of asset management principles and practices.
n
Tertiary or Trade level qualification in an engineering related discipline with experience in water related operational and asset management.
n
OR
n
Extensive experience in seawater desalination operations, maintenance, and asset management.
n
Practical experience in operating or maintaining water treatment assets.
n
Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.
n
Knowledge of Water Corporation's mechanical standards will be highly beneficial.
n
