Assisting clients in sourcing candidates for both permanent and contract roles

On behalf of my clients who operate in the Australian Defence sector I am currently looking for an experienced Communications Delivery Team Systems Engineer who holds current NV1 clearance with the ability to upgrade to NV2.
n
This role is being offered as an initial 12-month day rate contract position and is open to candidates who are based in EITHER Melbourne OR Canberra.
n
Main Duties:
n
n
Support to the maintenance of the Engineering framework, including the production and maintenance of engineering, verification and Technical Certification Plans
n
Accountable contribution to the project scopes of work.
n
Performs highly complex work associated with the program, including the TCN and BTN, including developing strategies and evaluating product outputs addressing requirements such as: reporting, stakeholder liaison and engagement, configuration management, security accreditation, system reviews, change management, and other engineering governance activities as directed.
n
Responsible for contribution to the engineering team.
n
Proactively identify, manage and mitigate risk.
n
Act as Commonwealth representative during system testing activities conducted by contractors, when required.
n
Provide advice as required to stakeholders, including Capability Manager, contractors, FIC stakeholders.
n
n
Essential Experience / Skills Sought:
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry and/or domain work experience of more than 8 years, and ability to obtain and hold a Defence Technical Authority Level (of a least Level 4).




n
NV1 cleared with the ability to upgrade to NV2.
n
Experience with the Land Technical Regulatory Framework and the Land System Safety Manual.
n
Experience with verification program, including Acceptance Test and Evaluation (AT&E;).
n
Experience in the production of System Safety cases.
n
Experience with the BTN and TCN, including TCN Waveforms.
n
Knowledge of the ADF Land C4 environment, including Army's planning and use of the BTN and TCN.
n
n
The following requirements are desirable:
n
n
Knowledge of Systematic Sitaware Battle Management System (BMS) Products;
n
Knowledge of security principles for deployable communications networks.
n
Defence and/or CASG experience,
n
One Defence capability planning principles and program gate review processes; and
n
Previous experience with Army Acquisition Projects.
n
n
