We are seeking a hands‐on Operations Manager to oversee daily logistics, fleet coordination, staff management and operational performance within a well-established Canberra business.

About the Role
n
Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing day‐to‐day operations, coordinating staff and vehicles, maintaining high safety standards, improving efficiencies and ensuring exceptional customer service delivery.
n
This role is suited to someone who enjoys balancing leadership, planning, problem solving and being actively involved in operations.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Coordinate drivers, warehouse staff and daily operational schedules
n
Allocate vehicles, runs and workloads efficiently
n
Lead, mentor and support operational teams
n
Conduct toolbox meetings and drive workplace safety initiatives
n
Manage fleet maintenance, servicing schedules and vehicle tracking systems
n




Oversee depot operations, stock levels and equipment maintenance
n
Maintain compliance with workplace policies and legislative requirements
n
Build and maintain strong client relationships
n
Assist with identifying growth opportunities and improving operational efficiencies
n
Respond proactively to staffing, scheduling and operational challenges
n
Participate in operational duties when required
n

To Be Successful You Will Have
n
n
Demonstrated experience in operations management, logistics, transport or similar industries
n
Strong people leadership and staff management capability
n
Experience coordinating fleets, scheduling or service delivery teams
n
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands
n
Strong communication and customer service skills
n
Safety-focused mindset with commitment to compliance and continuous improvement
n
Current MR Licence (or willingness to obtain if applicable)
n
Sound computer skills and ability to learn internal systems quickly
n
