We are partnering with a high-performing growth equity platform seeking an Origination Associate / Manager to work closely with a senior Investment Director.
n
This is a front-end, deal creation role focused on sourcing and developing investment opportunities, combined with the ability to pressure-test opportunities through scenario modelling.
n
This is not a traditional investment team role—it sits between origination, strategy, and commercial evaluation.
n
The Role
n
You will act as the pipeline engine, responsible for generating and shaping new opportunities, while supporting the Investment Director in assessing their commercial potential.
n
The role suits someone who is both:

A natural originator / relationship builder, and

Comfortable using scenario-based financial thinking to validate opportunities

Key Responsibilitieas
n
Origination & Deal Sourcing
n
n
Proactively source new investment opportunities across target sectors
n
Build a network of founders, advisors, and intermediaries
n
Lead outbound origination efforts (cold outreach, thematic mapping, relationship building)
n
Position the fund as a credible and value-add partner to founders
n
n
Opportunity Development
n
n
Act as the first screen on opportunities—assess quality, growth potential, and strategic fit
n




Engage with founders to shape investment opportunities and entry angles
n
Help translate early conversations into tangible deal pathways
n
Pressure-test assumptions and frame commercial upside / risk
n
Support the creation of clear, concise internal investment narratives
n
Focus on decision-enabling analysis, not full underwriting or deep IC modelling
n
n

Work alongside the investment team to transition opportunities into formal processes

Contribute to pipeline tracking, sector mapping, and thematic origination strategies

Candidate Profile
n
Background
n
n
3–7 years' experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate development, or investing
n
n
Skillset
n
n
Strong origination instincts and relationship-building ability
n
Comfortable with scenario modelling and commercial analysis (not heavy execution modelling)
n
Ability to simplify complex opportunities into clear investment cases
n
Excellent communication and founder-facing skills
n
