An exciting opportunity has opened up within our growing Professional Services practice for a passionate and motivated Network Consultant.
n
In this role, you will be responsible for analysing requirements, producing solution designs, implementing and troubleshooting Enterprise and Data Centre solutions.
n
What will I be doing?
n
The Network Consultant will:
n
- Work within a highly team-oriented team of passionate, like-minded professionals;
n
- Deliver Enterprise and Data Centre solutions, including:
n
n
Enterprise Networking, including WAN, LAN, and Data Centre
n
Software Defined Data Centre (Nexus, ACI, EVPN VXLAN)
n
Software Defined Networks
n
Advanced Wireless Networking
n
Next Generation Network Security
n
Identity and Access Control ******X, ClearPass / ISE)
n
n
- Document proposed and implemented solutions;
n
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, applying a customer-focused approach;
n
- Contribute to presales and solution shaping, including technical input into proposals; and
n
- Step into complex environments and stabilise / uplift networks.
n
What experience will I need?
n
The Network Consultant will have:
n
- Strong hands-on experience across:
n
n
Cisco and/or Aruba routing, switching, and wireless;
n
Enterprise network security (Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar); and
n
Identity-based networking ******X, NAC, ClearPass or ISE).
n
Core network refreshes and migrations;
n
Large-scale wireless deployments; and
n
Secure access and segmentation solutions.
n
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a customer facing, technical role;
n
- The ability to work autonomously or in small teams to complete client outcomes;
n
- Experience in conducting client workshops with all levels of stakeholders;
n
- In-depth knowledge of network systems and standards;
n
- Excellent documentation skills; and Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
The following experience will also be highly regarded:
n
- Collaboration Solutions (Cisco Webex & Microsoft Teams);
n
- Knowledge of public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms and technologies (Azure/AWS);
n
- Experience with network scripting (TCL, Perl, Python);
n
- Experience with other network and security vendors (Palo Alto, Citrix, F5, Dell, & Fortinet); and
n
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
n
What Key Qualifications, Certifications & Training will I need?
n
The Network Consultant will have:
n
- Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in an IT related discipline is desirable;
n
- Hold or be willing to obtain current Vendor Network Technologies Certifications (ie. Cisco, Aruba and Palo Alto); and
n
- Hold a Current Australian Department of Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
n
