Data Solutions Engineer – Beyond Bank Australia

Beyond Bank Australia, a member‐owned mutual bank committed to B Corp values, is seeking a Data Solutions Engineer to shape the bank's future data landscape.

Responsibilities:
n
n
Architect and implement enterprise‐grade ETL pipelines using Azure services to enable scalable data integration and transformation.
n
Lead development of a robust data engineering strategy covering ETL, data warehousing, governance, and real‐time analytics.
n
Design and deploy secure, structured data infrastructure optimized for machine learning, AI‐driven insights, and executive reporting.
n
Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to translate complex data requirements into sustainable engineering solutions.
n
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including PII and SOX through strong data governance and lifecycle management.
n
Document current and future‐state processes to support strategic data capability uplift and transformation.
n
Develop intuitive dashboards and visualisations using Power BI and SQL to support decision‐making across the organisation.
n
Monitor and mitigate risks in data integration, while supporting IT budget forecasting and portfolio‐level prioritisation.

Qualifications:
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualification with deep expertise across technology infrastructure, banking systems, and enterprise architecture.
n
Proven ability to align technology strategy with business goals,



especially within financial services including retail and business banking.
n
Demonstrated experience in agile delivery, ETL processes, data modelling, and cloud‐based data architecture.
n
Skilled in translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
n
Knowledgeable in AI, predictive analytics, and data governance, with a clear understanding of compliance standards like PII and SOX.
n
n
