n
This is a full-time temporary position for the duration of our Queensland project, currently scheduled for completion in March ****. There may be an opportunity for the role to be extended beyond this date, subject to project requirements and individual performance.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Take ownership of projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
n
Develop and manage project programmes, monitoring progress and maintaining alignment with key milestones and client expectations.
n
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, plant and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.
n
Manage project budgets, forecasting, procurement activities, progress claims, variations and cost reporting.
n
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
n
Oversee the planning and execution of construction activities, working closely with supervisors and site personnel to resolve issues and maintain productivity.
n
Ensure all quality assurance requirements are met and project documentation is kept up to date and compliant.
n
Monitor project risks and identify opportunities to improve performance, productivity and project outcomes.
n
Manage resource allocation, including labour, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
n
Prepare and present regular project reports covering progress, financial performance, programme status and key project risks.
n
Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all project activities.

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects in a Project Manager role.
n
A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
n
Experience working across major civil infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, water, utilities, energy or bulk earthworks.
n
Strong commercial and contractual management skills, with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, claims and variations.
n
Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and manage subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
n
Solid understanding of bulk earthworks, including cut-to-fill operations, benching, battering, site levelling and material management.
n
Experience managing earthmoving operations, including scrapers and large-scale earthworks activities.
n
Knowledge of GPS machine guidance and machine control systems.
n
Strong understanding of ground conditions and material handling practices.
n
The ability to develop and manage project programmes using tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore or similar.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and delivery teams.
n
A practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
n
A track record of delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
n
