Job Description
A growing specialist property development business is seeking a Design & Planning Manager to lead design and planning across its expanding portfolio of residential and specialist housing projects. This is a hands‐on role for someone with an architectural background who is comfortable producing concept designs to support acquisitions and driving planning approvals.

The Role
n
You will play a pivotal part in shaping projects from acquisition through planning approval, working closely with the acquisitions and development teams.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Supporting acquisitions through early‐stage concept designs, massing studies, and planning assessments
n
Creating, managing, and evolving design briefs, standard designs, and specifications
n
Overseeing planning approvals (DA and/or CDC pathways)
n
Coordinating architects, planners, certifiers,



and other design consultants
n
Conducting design reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance
n
n
About You
n
n
Architectural background with robust design capability
n
Experience in residential or multi‐residential developments
n
SDA experience preferred but not essential
n
CDC experience preferred but not essential
n
Commercially minded, balancing design quality with delivery outcomes
n
Collaborative, pragmatic, and hands‐on
n
n
