Centurion is seeking a highly organised and hands‐on Metro HC/MC General Supervisor to lead our metro general freight operations. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for coordinating daily activities, managing team performance, and ensuring seamless service delivery across multiple operational areas.

The Opportunity
n
You will oversee a diverse metro semi and road train operation, ensuring all roles are effectively staffed and daily plans are executed with precision. You will play a key role in adapting to changing business demands, maintaining operational efficiency, and fostering strong communication across the network.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead, coach, and manage a team of coordinators and general freight drivers across multiple operational functions
n
Allocate resources and organise backfilling of roles based on daily workload and operational requirements
n
Ensure daily transport plans are accurate, efficient, and adjusted in line with changing business needs
n
Oversee general freight drivers across the metro area from various locations and vendor
n
Ensure all positions are adequately covered, proactively managing gaps and communicating risks or issues to stakeholders
n
Maintain solid oversight of daily operations to ensure service levels, safety, and compliance standards are met
n
Collaborate closely with the EV team, coordinators, supervisors,



and managers across different business units
n
Foster clear, consistent, and positive communication between all operational areas
n

About You

Proven experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role
n
Strong ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast‐paced environment
n
Experience coordinating general freight operations across varied functions
n
Excellent problem‐solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
n
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
n
Hands‐on leadership style with a focus on accountability and team performance
n
