EnerMech is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Hazardous Area Inspectors for a range of upcoming maintenance, turnaround and shutdown projects across major industrial facilities in the Gladstone region.
n
As a leading provider of integrated maintenance, engineering and project services, EnerMech supports some of Australia's largest energy, LNG, mining and industrial operations. With a strong pipeline of work anticipated, we are looking to build our network of qualified EEHA professionals to support upcoming campaigns.

About the Role
n
As a Hazardous Area Inspector,



you will play a critical role in ensuring electrical equipment and installations within hazardous areas remain compliant with relevant standards and site requirements.
n
Responsibilities may include:
n
n
Conducting detailed hazardous area inspections of electrical installations and equipment
n
Verifying compliance with AS/NZS and IECEx requirements
n
Identifying defects and non‐conformances within hazardous area installations
n
Reviewing inspection records, documentation and asset registers
n
Preparing inspection reports and recommendations
n
Supporting rectification and maintenance activities
n
Working closely with site maintenance and engineering teams
n
Maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
To be considered for upcoming opportunities, you will ideally possess:
n
n
Recognised Hazardous Area Inspection qualification (EEHA)
n
Electrical trade qualification
n
Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence
n
Demonstrated experience conducting hazardous area inspections in industrial environments
n
Strong understanding of hazardous area standards and compliance requirements




n
Current LVR/CPR certification
n
White Card (Construction Induction)
n
Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
n
Ability to pass pre‐employment medicals and drug & alcohol screening
n
n
Highly Desirable
n
n
IECEx Competency Qualifications
n
Experience within LNG, mining, power generation, oil & gas, chemical processing or manufacturing industries
n
Working at Heights
n
Confined Space Entry
n
Gas Test Atmospheres
n
Inspection and reporting software experience
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
