n About The Role
n Our Federal Government Client is seeking a UX / User Interaction Designer.
n This is a long-term 12 month contract role with long-term extension options available if required, located at our client's Canberra office offering hybrid working arrangements.
n As The Selected Candidate, You Will
n
n
Independently tackle ambiguous problems from start to finish using robust design processes
n
Contribute to the information architecture, interaction models and UX patterns in an evolving product
n
Ideate, iterate, and refine throughout the design process by creating user journeys, process maps, wireframes, and prototypes as required.
n
Extract and analyse user data and insights to inform designs
n




Share findings and use insights to suggest ways to improve the services the Branch supports.
n
Design intuitive interfaces for public-facing systems and services
n
Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
n
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
n
Develop design collateral and reusable front-end components
n
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
n
Present and advocate for user friendly designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
n
Incorporate user feedback and research in the design and delivery of interfaces
n
Wireframing/prototyping
with Adobe XD and Figma.
n
Produce high-quality UX solutions through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, and prototypes.
n
To Be Successful In This Role You Should Haven
n
Minimum of 5 years' experience of commercial experience as a UI-UX designer.
n
Experience with Adobe XD, Figma or equivalent tools
n
Experience in conducting testing of prototypes with users and capturing insights and feedback
n
Solid understanding of accessible design principles and experience in designing to meet WCAG guidelines, including AA Compliance
n




Experience in designing information architecture and arranging functionality and content into logical and intuitive structures
n
Experience with Agile software development and project delivery
n
It Is Desirable If You Haven
n
Tertiary qualifications in Design, Interaction Design, Human Centred Design or similar
n
