HR Advisor

Permanent | Brisbane Bayside | $115,000–$125,000 + super

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-established engineering and contracting business backed by one of the world's largest construction groups, employing more than 100,000 people globally.
n
Based at the company's Cleveland office and reporting directly to the HR Manager, this is a true generalist position supporting employees and leaders across a diverse operational workforce.
n
This role would suit a confident and approachable HR professional who enjoys variety, building strong stakeholder relationships and providing practical advice in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
n
The Role
n
Working closely with the HR Manager, leaders and employees, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Providing day-to-day HR advice across the complete employee lifecycle
n
Supporting employee relations and workplace investigations
n
Advising managers on performance management and disciplinary matters
n
Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and employee inductions
n
Assisting with remuneration reviews and workforce planning
n
Interpreting employment legislation, awards, policies and procedures
n
Supporting learning, development and employee-engagement initiatives
n
Preparing employment contracts, variations and HR correspondence
n
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR-system information
n
Supporting organisational change and continuous-improvement projects
n
Monitoring HR reporting,
compliance and people-related trends
n
Assisting with offboarding, exit interviews and succession planning
n

About You
n
To be successful, you will ideally offer:
n
n
Previous experience as an HR Advisor or in a comparable generalist position
n
Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
n
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and contemporary awards
n
Experience managing employee relations and performance matters
n
Confidence supporting both operational and corporate employees
n
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
n
A practical, solutions-focused and commercially aware approach
n
High levels of discretion, professionalism and attention to detail
n
The ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a wider HR team
n
n
Experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing or another operational environment would be highly regarded.
