Job Description
This is a senior finance leadership opportunity with a large, complex organisation undergoing continued investment in its finance capability.

Reporting to a senior finance leader, the role will take ownership of statutory reporting, financial close, technical accounting, reporting policy, controls and process improvement.
n
This position would suit a technically strong finance leader who enjoys leading people, improving processes, working with senior stakeholders and delivering high-quality reporting outcomes in a complex workplace.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Lead statutory reporting and year-end financial statement preparation across multiple entities
n
Own month-end and year-end close activity, with a focus on accuracy, controls and timely delivery
n
Lead, coach and develop an established team of finance professionals
n
Provide technical accounting advice and prepare papers on complex reporting matters
n
Maintain and improve reporting policies, processes and control frameworks
n
Partner with senior finance, audit, risk, operations and business stakeholders
n
Manage the external audit process, including planning, coordination, issue resolution and delivery
n
Drive improvement across reconciliations, accruals, reporting timelines, controls and financial close
n
Support senior reporting requirements and provide clear, accurate financial information to decision makers
n

About you
n




You will likely bring a Big 4 background, followed by strong industry experience in a complex corporate environment.
n
You will have strong statutory reporting, technical accounting and financial close experience, combined with proven people leadership. Just as importantly, you will be a confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders, bring structure to a function and lead a team through improvement.

CA or CPA qualified
n
Big 4 background highly regarded
n
Strong statutory reporting and technical accounting experience
n
Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes
n
Proven people leadership experience
n
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
n
Experience in complex corporate environments
n
Ability to improve processes, controls and reporting quality
n
ERP experience highly regarded
n
