An established and growing construction and insurance building services business is seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Site Supervisor to join its Mildura-based team.
The business delivers a diverse range of commercial and residential construction projects, insurance building repairs, emergency works, project management and facilities maintenance across Victoria and New South Wales.
Working with major organisations across the insurance, government and commercial sectors, this is an opportunity to join a busy operation with a strong pipeline of varied construction projects.
About the Role This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced construction professional who enjoys being on site, leading trades and getting involved in the work when required.
As Construction Site Supervisor, you will coordinate day-to-day site activities, lead and support trade teams, maintain project momentum and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
You'll be confident reading plans and specifications, anticipating upcoming project requirements and resolving issues before they impact delivery.
You'll lead by example and contribute to a positive, accountable and supportive site culture.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate trade teams to deliver high-quality construction works safely and efficiently.
Manage daily site activities, priorities, resources and operational issues.
Work hands-on alongside the team when required to support project delivery.
Monitor project budgets, identify variances and take corrective action to maintain cost control.
Identify efficiencies and opportunities to improve project performance.
Ensure trades have the information, materials and resources required to work effectively.
Proactively identify and remove blockers that could impact productivity or timelines.
Read and interpret plans,



specifications and project documentation.
Assist with resolving complex technical, scope and stakeholder issues.
Work collaboratively with Project Managers, support staff and technical teams.
Maintain a strong site safety culture and compliance with relevant procedures and standards.
Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders regarding progress, risks and project requirements.
Build and maintain productive relationships with subcontractors and trade partners.
Mentor and support trade staff to develop their skills and capabilities.
Promote a positive, collaborative and accountable workplace culture.
About You You'll be an experienced construction professional who is comfortable taking ownership of a site while still being prepared to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team.
You will ideally bring: Previous experience supervising construction projects and trade teams.
Strong practical construction and trade knowledge.
Ability to confidently read and interpret plans and specifications.
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Sound commercial awareness and experience working within project budgets.
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
A proactive approach and ability to anticipate upcoming project requirements.
Solid commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
Capacity to undertake physically demanding work when required.
Flexibility to work additional hours where project requirements demand it.
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
