Coco L Construction is an established construction company operating since ****, delivering high-quality commercial and residential construction projects across Queensland and New South Wales.
Our portfolio includes shopping centres, schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, apartments, townhouses, and other public and private sector developments.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement Manager to join our team based in our Brisbane office.
About the Role The Procurement Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the procurement of construction materials, equipment and services across the company's projects.
The role will work closely with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors and management to ensure procurement requirements are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with project schedules and specifications.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement and monitor procurement strategies and purchasing plans to support current and upcoming construction projects.
Plan and coordinate the procurement of construction materials, equipment, products and services in accordance with project requirements, budgets and delivery schedules.
Source, evaluate and select suitable suppliers and service providers based on pricing, quality, reliability, capacity and project requirements.
Negotiate pricing, supply agreements and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve competitive outcomes while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
Review project plans, specifications and procurement requirements in consultation with project managers and other relevant personnel.
Monitor procurement schedules,



purchase orders and supplier performance to ensure materials and services are delivered in line with construction programs.
Identify new suppliers, products and procurement opportunities and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
Monitor procurement costs and market conditions and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved purchasing efficiency.
Monitor and review material storage and inventory requirements across construction projects, coordinating with project teams and suppliers to maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure the timely availability of materials.
Maintain procurement and inventory recording systems to track the ordering, receipt and movement of construction materials and supplies, and coordinate timely re-ordering and replenishment to meet project requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, purchasing documentation and reporting systems.
Coordinate procurement activities across multiple construction projects and provide guidance to relevant staff involved in purchasing and supplier management.
Skills Experience To be successful in this role, you should have: ·Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field ·At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the construction or building industry.
·Strong experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, strategic sourcing, and procurement planning ·Sound understanding of procurement systems, inventory management, and supplier performance monitoring ·Solid commercial acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability ·Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills ·Ability to work effectively across corporate and remote operational environments
