Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since **** and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, one active underground mine, two active open pits, with new mines started in **** as part of the companies 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by ****.

This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a permanent role on an 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available.

About the role
n
Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this role works on a back to back roster and carries out the statutory duties and responsibility of a Underground Shift boss. The Underground Mining Supervisor will also have an prospect to be involved in cutting the portal for the new underground project which will be a critical project for the growth of our Southern Cross Operations. For the right candidate there may also be potential take a step up for new existing projects during initial phases while both operations are running.

This role will be responsible for liaising with the mine operations teams and other departments to meet all safety, cost and production targets and mine planning activities are completed in a timely manner.

About you

Must hold WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency
n




Minimum 2 years of practical experience in a similar role.
n
Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
n
Strong communication skills, and ability to speak with all levels within the organisation.
n
Be able to monitor your crews competencies and training requirements.
n
Current "C" class WA Drivers licence.
n
Excellent organisational skills.
n
Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team.
n
A solid work ethic and strong desire to do things safely and efficiently.
