Senior Associate – Cyber Insurance & Incident Response

Montgomery Advisory is partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Cyber Insurance team in Sydney or Melbourne.
n
This is an exciting prospect to work at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing areas of insurance law, advising insurers and corporate clients on cyber incidents, data breaches, privacy obligations, cyber coverage disputes and cyber-related litigation.
n
You'll work on complex, high-profile matters alongside an experienced and collaborative team, with significant client exposure and excellent opportunities for career progression.

The Role
n
You will advise on a broad range of cyber insurance and incident response matters, including:
n
n
Managing cyber incident response matters from initial notification through to resolution
n
Advising on privacy, data breach and regulatory notification obligations
n




Acting for insurers on cyber coverage issues
n
Advising on disputes, recoveries and cyber-related litigation
n
Acting as coverage and monitoring counsel on significant cyber incidents
n
Briefing Counsel and coordinating technical experts, insurers and other stakeholders throughout the response process
n

About You
n
You will have:
n
n
4+ years' post-admission experience
n
Experience in cyber, financial lines or commercial litigation
n
Insurance law experience or exposure to the insurance sector (highly regarded)
n
Strong drafting, analytical and investigative skills
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
n
A commercial, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in cyber risk and emerging technologies
