An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Profiler Operators, Road Profiler Operators and Cold Milling Operators to join a new and growing road construction business based in Perth.
This is a hands-on position for operators with extensive experience using road profiling and cold milling equipment within the asphalt, road construction or civil construction industry.
The successful candidates will be responsible for safely operating profiling machinery, preparing road surfaces and achieving accurate milling depths and finishes.
You must be practical, safety-conscious and comfortable working alongside supervisors, ground crews and truck drivers.
Both full time and casual employment options are available, with an immediate start for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities Safely operate Wirtgen or similar road profiling and cold milling equipment.
Profile and remove existing asphalt or pavement to the required depth, width and level.
Set up and adjust the profiler according to project specifications and site conditions.
Complete daily pre-start inspections and equipment safety checks.
Inspect milling drums, cutting teeth, conveyors and other machine components.
Monitor milling depth, surface levels and the quality of the finished profile.
Coordinate with supervisors, ground crews, water-cart operators and truck drivers.
Ensure milled material is safely and efficiently loaded into trucks.
Identify and report equipment defects, maintenance requirements and safety concerns.
Complete basic cleaning, maintenance and servicing of the profiler when required.
Follow traffic-management plans, site procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.




Complete daily operator records and report work progress to the site supervisor.
Work night shifts, weekends and away from home when required.
Requirements Extensive experience operating road profiling or cold milling equipment is essential.
Proven experience operating Wirtgen or similar profiling machinery.
Experience within the asphalt, road construction or civil construction industry.
Practical knowledge of profiling depths, grades, levels and surface preparation.
Experience on local government, major road construction or Main Roads WA projects will be highly regarded.
Current White Card.
Current Australian driver's licence.
Relevant machinery tickets, licences or Verification of Competency certificates (VOCs).
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Ability to complete pre-start inspections and identify basic mechanical or maintenance issues.
Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a road crew.
Willingness to work night shifts, weekends and regional or away projects when required.
