Responsibilities
n
n
Lead transmission line layout design services, ensuring cost-effective, secure and compliant solutions across all project phases—from concept to commissioning.
n
Act as the Responsible Person for design scoping, budgets and timeframes, providing expert advice and decision-making support to project teams.
n
Own Powerlink's PLS-CADD platform, including training and mentoring staff, maintaining technical criteria and libraries, and advancing the use of software and LIDAR technology.
n
Coach, mentor and collaborate with team members and contractors to lift capability and maintain high‐quality design outputs.

As part of our Design Solutions group, you'll join a team dedicated to delivering excellence in Major Projects Design, based between our Virginia and Bowen Hills locations. We value collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.

What You'll Bring
n
n
Bachelor of Engineering
(Electrical/Civil/Structural/Mechanical)
n
n




You'll bring specialist expertise in transmission line layout design with proven experience using PLS-CADD to deliver complex 3D design solutions. A thorough understanding of conductor mechanics, material strengths and project cost drivers; proficiency with AutoCAD; and practical experience with engineering survey methods, including LIDAR, GPS and total station equipment.

You'll also bring strong project delivery skills—from scoping and estimating through to implementation—ensuring outcomes are cost-effective, constructible and compliant with industry standards. Most importantly, you'll have a collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring others.
