Your new company Our client, a local not-for-profit organisation specialising in property maintenance services, is recruiting for a skilled Operations Manager to lead their day-to-day activity.

As the Operations Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. This role combines team leadership, commercial oversight, and strong client engagement. This is a full-time Permanent role based in Darwin.

Your key responsibilities will be:
n
n
Lead, mentor, and support a team of Supervisors, Labourers, and administrative staff.
n
Oversee operational planning, scheduling, and daily workflow management.
n
Prepare tenders, quotes, and commercial proposals.
n
Produce monthly reporting, financial tracking, and performance analysis.
n
Manage safety, risk, and compliance across operations.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
n
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
n

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have:
n
n
Experience in people leadership and / or business or operational management roles.
n
Background in property maintenance or facilities management (desirable but not essential).
n
Strong commercial acumen with experience preparing quotes or tenders.
n
Ability to interpret operational and financial reports.
n
Knowledge of WHS, risk management, and compliance practices.
n
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
