Are you an Environmental Advisor with a passion for operational excellence and innovative solutions? Thiess is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Advisor to join our dynamic team at the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.
n
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations, driving technical excellence and supporting project success.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and project approvals
n
Management of top‐soiling, site water, and rehabilitation works including quality assurance
n
Ensuring successful implementation of the Environmental Management System and development of project Environmental Management Plans
n
Delivering environmental training and awareness programs
n
Communicating and promoting environmental initiatives and innovations within the business
n
Collating reports to meet legislative and client requirements
n
Liaising with the client and regulator
n
Co‐ordinating environmental monitoring, inspection and auditing programs and maintaining associated documentation and records




n
Providing interpretation of environmental data and regular progress reports against environmental performance targets
n
Strategically influencing the design, construction and consultant teams in areas of environmental management and sustainability to deliver outstanding outcomes
n

Candidate Requirements
n
n
Proven site‐based environmental experience in mining or heavy industry
n
Strong environmental compliance and approvals knowledge (incl. EMS and legislation)
n
Hands‐on experience with monitoring, reporting and audits
n
Confident stakeholder engagement with regulators, clients and operations teams
n
n
