Cranecorp Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Lift Engineerto lead our engineering function and play a critical role in delivering safe, innovative, and commercially sound heavy lift solutions across Australia.

This is a key leadership position responsible for driving engineering excellence, supporting business growth, and ensuring consistent delivery of high quality outcomes that exceed client expectations.

This opportunity is open to candidates who are interested in relocating to Western Australia (Perth) with relocation assistance provided.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the General Manager Technical, you will work closely with Operations, Commercial, and Business Development teams to deliver complex heavy lift and transport solutions across multiple projects.
n
You will lead the engineering function, contribute to strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment with business objectives, safety standards, and client requirements.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Lead and support the Cranecorp engineering function to achieve business objectives and strategic outcomes
n
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop compliant heavy lift plans in accordance with relevant Australian Standards
n
Evaluate and implement new and emerging engineering technologies related to cranes, rigging, load monitoring, and heavy lift operation
n
Develop tools, systems, and training to ensure compliance with world's best practice and to set new industry benchmarks
n
Provide engineering support outside normal business hours as required
n
Ensure compliance with the latest Australian Standards and Codes of Practice nationwide
n
Support Business Development with technical input for tenders, proposals, and client presentations
n
Assist with engineering design including lifting devices, load support beams, stools, transport equipment, load restraint diagrams, lifting studies, and alternative lift and transport methodologies
n
About You
n
You are a technically strong and commercially aware engineer with a passion for safety, leadership, and continuous improvement. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are confident working with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
n
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
n
Minimum 5 years' experience as an engineer, ideally within heavy lift, cranes or a related industry
n
Strong background in construction, cranes, lifting, and transportation
n
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar engineering design software
n
National Police Clearance
n
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
n
