About the job Senior Backend Software Engineer

This is a 12 month contract opportunity for an experienced Backend Engineer to join a major Australian Bank, locatin in Sydney's CBD.

A passion for designing, developing and deploying high quality software solutions.
n
Experience in the full software development lifecycle, including partnering with business for requirements, designing solutions, development, deployment, and monitoring and support
n
Experience in CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and governance
n
A solid understanding of microservice and distributed system design patterns
n
A solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure and cloud services that host .NET applications




n
Robust people and collaboration skills to work well in teams
n
Previous experience mentoring and developing junior engineers
n
n
Tech skills: This is a highly technical role, requiring a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We dont expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with most of these will set you up for success in this team:

Full Cycle engineering (design, build, run and manage)
n
Full Stack technologies - C# .NET Core / Web APIs
n
Testing Frameworks - Selenium, mountebank, Pact, xUnit
n
DevOps & CI/CD pipelines - GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus, Jenkins
n
Monitoring & observability OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS Cloudwatch
