About the role
n
Orica's emulsion manufacturing plant in Bluevale, NSW, is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
n
As a Senior Supervisor, you will ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality emulsion products while leading a dedicated team of professionals. Initially, you will serve as the 2IC (Second-in-Command) to the site supervisor for three months. After this period, you will transition to full site responsibility as the current supervisor moves to a part time leadership role within Orica.

The role will operate on a standard Monday - Friday roster basis. Healthy salary, bonus and many other rewards will be offered to the successful candidate.

What you will be doing
n
n
You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the emulsion manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations;
n
To manage production schedules to meet customer demands and quality standards, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity;
n
You will mentor and develop a team of operators and technicians,
and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and performance;
n
Report on production metrics and performance to senior management, supporting the current site supervisor as 2IC for six months before transitioning to full site responsibility.

What you will bring
n
n
Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment;
n
Ability to lead small teams and interface across functions, with a focus on safety, health, and environmental regulations;
n
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies, with mechanical and process aptitude;
n
Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and reasonable computer literacy;
n
A background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field;
n
A strong desire to learn ANE manufacturing processes;
n
It is a requirement that the site supervisor resides in the local area of Gunnedah / Boggabri / Narrabri.
