Payroll Compliance Specialist

$135k - $145k + Super | Macquarie Park NSW **** | 2 Days WFH & Free Parking

Excellent payroll & award knowledge required with a strong interest in Audit. Move away from BAU and into a strategic compliance and audit focused role.

Newly created role driving payroll compliance & audit excellence using iChris and UKG. Ideal for a detail‐driven payroll professional moving from BAU.

The Role
n
n
End‐to‐end responsibility for payroll compliance, governance, and audit readiness
n
Regular review of payroll processes to ensure alignment with legislation, awards, and EBAs
n
Lead internal and external payroll audits and support remediation activities
n
Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
n
Ensure adherence to tax, superannuation, and statutory obligations
n
Partner with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams to strengthen controls
n
Maintain up‐to‐date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
n
Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
n

The Person
n
n
Strong payroll experience with a focus on compliance, audit, or risk
n
In‐depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and EBAs
n
Experience in audit preparation, reporting, and remediation
n
Highly detail‐oriented with strong analytical skills
n
Confident stakeholder engagement across payroll, HR, and finance
n
Experience in large or complex payroll environments preferred
n
Exposure to iChris and UKG preferred not essential
n
Strong communication skills and ability to influence and present best practice
n
Full working rights in Australia (permanent position)
