I'm partnering with one of Victoria's most respected commercial contractors looking for a Senior Estimator to join their high-performing pre-construction team. This is an opportunity to work on diverse projects, while playing a key role in winning future work across Melbourne.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you'll be responsible for leading competitive tenders, preparing accurate cost estimates and working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and subcontractors throughout the bid process.

Key Responsibilities:
n

Prepare detailed first-principles estimates and tender submissions
n
Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation
n
Manage the full tender process from initial enquiry through to submission
n
Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing
n
Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
n
Liaise with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams
n
Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement within the estimating function
n

About You
n
n
7+ years' estimating experience with a commercial builder
n
Strong understanding of commercial construction methodology and procurement
n
Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills
n
Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients
n
Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
n
