About the role
n
Our Sydney office is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide leadership and project delivery expertise. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of key projects, both locally and on a national level, and for providing project leadership and strategic support. The successful candidate will have proven engineering leadership experience and hold a CPEng qualification. Experience working on key healthcare or defence projects is preferred and will be highly regarded.

Duties & Responsibilities

Representing ACOR with existing and recent clients to help develop the business
n
Attracting new clients to ACOR
n
Increasing ACOR capability
n
Managing a team including leading and mentoring staff
n
Continuous staff training and development of the team
n
Providing general project oversight and advice to staff working on projects
n
Maintaining quality control procedures
n
Consistently achieving reasonable monthly budget targets
n
Preparing fee proposals and tracking time, budget, invoicing and cash flow are appropriately managed
n
Seeking and developing current business opportunities
n




Assisting in the development of delivery strategies to develop and expand markets
n
n
Skills and Experience
n
n
University engineering degree or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia
n
Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia
n
Site induction training card (white card)
n
Previous experience within an engineering consultancy or equivalent
n
Strong business development skills
n
High level of project management and technical ability within the electrical discipline
n
Highly developed engineering and assessment skills
n
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
n
