Lead Compliance Officer – Gaming at Momenta – Melbourne, Australia. This role involves AML/CTF leadership within the Gaming sector, acting as the Designated AML Compliance Officer at a Casino Resort. Some travel to Darwin per month may be required.

Are you a compliance leader with deep AML/CTF knowledge and a passion for regulatory excellence? We're seeking a high-performing Lead Compliance Officer – Gaming to oversee the compliance function, partner with senior leaders and regulators, and embed a solid culture of compliance, integrity, and harm minimisation.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Oversee the AML/CTF Program, including reporting (SMRs, IFTIs), audits, risk assessments, and training
n
Maintain and enhance internal controls and procedures across gaming, alcohol, tobacco, and responsible service obligations
n
Act as a key decision-maker in financial crime matters, including ECDD, customer exits, and reporting
n
Lead incident management and provide regular reporting to the Board and Gaming Compliance Committee
n
Manage a team of compliance professionals and deliver mandatory training across the business
n




Foster strong relationships with regulators, frontline staff, and internal stakeholders
n
n
What You'll Bring
n
n
5+ years in compliance, audit, or risk management (preferably in gaming, financial services, or highly regulated sectors)
n
Tertiary qualifications in Compliance, Risk Management, or related disciplines
n
In-depth knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and other relevant legislation (Gaming Control Act, Liquor Act, etc.)
n
Experience managing a team and working with boards, regulators, and cross-functional stakeholders
n
Solid analytical, communication, and leadership skills
n
Certifications in AML, Risk, or Compliance are highly regarded
n
