Freelance Marketing Data Engineer / Attribution Specialist

Contract: ~1 month (project-based) | Start: ASAP | Location: Sydney based | Rate: Flexible - open to discussion

I'm looking for an experienced Marketing Data / Attribution Specialist to support a short-term but meaningful data and attribution project for one of our clients. The engagement focuses on building a future‐proof, first‐party attribution setup across paid media, web and app environments.

The Project
n
Our client is designing a reliable attribution architecture that unifies advertising identifiers across the full customer journey – from ads to website to mobile apps.
n
Your Responsibilities
n
n
Define the best data‐flow approach (e.g., Amplitude CDI vs direct warehouse integration)
n
Implement correct identifier capture and routing across platforms
n
Integrate event data across web, app and ad ecosystems
n
Lay the foundations for a multi‐touch attribution model using first‐party data
n
Evaluate and design the optimal attribution and data architecture
n




Ensure identifiers captured on‐site flow correctly into GA4, Meta CAPI, Google Ads, data warehouse, Amplitude
n
Implement event instrumentation and platform‐specific routing
n
Support identity resolution and audience activation use cases
n
n
Required Skills & Experience
n
n
Strong experience across Marketing Analytics and Data Engineering
n
Hands‐on with event tracking & instrumentation, CDPs and MarTech data architecture, data warehousing patterns, identity resolution
n
Solid understanding of Google and Meta ecosystems
n
Comfortable working independently on a defined project
n
