Overview

Our client is an established commercial property business with a strong presence in the market, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial assets. They are looking for an experienced Trust Accountant to join their finance team and take ownership of the trust accounting function within a fast-paced property environment.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day trust accounting function across a commercial property portfolio. This role will see you managing trust transactions, reconciliations, landlord and supplier payments, financial reporting, and month-end processes while ensuring compliance with trust accounting requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
n

Managing daily trust receipting, banking and reconciliations.
n
Processing supplier invoices, payments and landlord distributions.
n
Preparing landlord statements and financial reports.
n
Maintaining accurate tenancy and property financial records.
n
Supporting month-end, year-end and audit processes.
n
Ensuring compliance with trust accounting legislation and internal procedures.
n

About You
n
You will bring proven experience within commercial property trust accounting and be confident managing a high-volume trust function.
n
You will also possess:
n
n
Demonstrated commercial trust accounting experience (essential).
n
Solid working knowledge of Cirrus8 (essential).
n
Solid understanding of trust accounting legislation, reconciliations and compliance requirements.
n
Experience preparing landlord distributions, management fee reconciliations and trust reporting.
n
High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with internal stakeholders, landlords and suppliers.
