About the Role
n
As a Blast Engineering & Business Development Specialist, you'll combine blast engineering expertise with client engagement to deliver safe, efficient, and value‐driven outcomes for our mining and quarrying customers.
n
You'll be involved in everything from blast design and data analysis to on‐site technical support and business growth initiatives — no two days the same.
n
What You'll Do
n
n
Design, implement, and optimise blasting solutions across quarry and mining projects.
n
Provide field support and mentoring on advanced blasting equipment.
n
Prepare and manage quality documentation — from Blasting Management Plans to survey data.
n
Analyse blast performance and deliver actionable insights to clients.
n
Partner with customers to identify improvement and growth opportunities.




n
Contribute to tenders and proposals with solid technical input.
n
Represent Impact Drill & Blast at industry events and build trusted client partnerships.
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
Degree in Mining Engineering (or related field).
n
Licensed Shotfirer with 5+ years' experience in mining or quarry blasting — or equivalent hands‐on blast engineering experience.
n
Proven ability in blast design, vibration control, and explosives operations.
n
Strong communicator able to translate technical detail for all audiences.
n
Safety‐first mindset and collaborative approach.
n
Current Australian manual driver's licence and ability to pass pre‐employment checks.
n
