About the Role
n
Lead graduate research administration across the University, coordinating policy‐compliant candidature support, building best‐practice systems, training, and processes, and managing a small specialist team.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and mentor a small team delivering high‐quality graduate research administrative support across the University.
n
Coordinate development and delivery of training, documentation and updates on candidature management for staff and researchers.
n
Oversee complex candidature processing and provide expert advice, including managing unsatisfactory progress cases with senior leaders.
n
Act as subject‐matter expert for graduate research systems, leading testing and supporting implementation of changes.
n
Contribute to Graduate Research strategy, priorities and culture, ensuring responsive, effective support for graduate researchers.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Degree‐level qualification plus substantial experience in graduate research administration or graduate researcher support within a complex tertiary education environment.
n
Strong understanding of the unique academic and personal issues facing graduate researchers.
n
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, engaging diverse stakeholders and managing expectations with professionalism.
n
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills to design creative solutions and negotiate outcomes in challenging cases.
n
Excellent organisation and project management, improving processes and meeting competing deadlines.
n
Experience leading, motivating and training a small team, fostering continuous improvement and a positive collaborative culture.
n
Confident use of large integrated databases and Microsoft Office, ideally with experience of TechnologyOne or similar systems.
