The Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Principal, Procurement and Contracts – Procurement (Labour) to play a key role in the development and delivery of a national labour sourcing program for a leading global mining group.
n
Working with the Lead Principal on the strategy and delivery of a national sourcing program, you will own the day-to-day direction and momentum of the program. This program represents a significant savings opportunity and requires a commercially minded, highly skilled communicator who can cut through ambiguity, build alignment, and drive timely decisions and action across a diverse stakeholder group to deliver sustainable value.

The Role
n
n
Developing and implementing category strategies that identify, structure, and execute opportunities to drive commercial value while managing supply risk and delivering on safety and operational requirements.
n
Reducing total cost of ownership by making informed risk trade-offs over the medium term and executing these through the sourcing cycle.
n
Delivering value through fact based insights, strong analytics, contract expertise, and targeted strategic actions.
n
Leading end to end procurement activities, including requirements definition, baseline development, sourcing, negotiation, savings validation, contract execution,



and contract management.
n
Communicating strategies clearly and effectively to all stakeholder levels, from senior leadership to frontline operations.
n

Your Background

You are a commercially focused procurement professional with a proven track record of delivering value through strategic sourcing and stakeholder engagement. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are confident leading initiatives that require influence, collaboration, and strong analytical thinking.

Solid commercial acumen and demonstrated negotiation expertise.
n
Sound project management, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
n
The ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
n
Confidence to challenge traditional approaches and drive continuous improvement through new frameworks, processes, and ways of working.
n
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build alignment across functions and senior leadership teams.
