Job Description
Senior Technical Officer – End User Computing (AO4)

Location: Brisbane CBD

17/08/2026 to 16/10/2026
n Pay rate: $***** per hour + superannuation
n
Work arrangement: In office and remote support across multiple locations
n
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Officer to provide hands-on technical support within a large, enterprise Microsoft environment.
n
In this role, you will deliver Tier 1, Tier 1.5 and Tier 2 end-user computing support, investigate and resolve technical incidents, maintain ICT environments and contribute to the delivery of technology projects.
n
You will join a customer-focused service delivery team responsible for maintaining reliable ICT services across multiple business locations.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Provide on-site and remote technical support across multiple locations.
n
Configure, install, monitor, support and manage ICT environments.
n
Deliver Tier 1, Tier 1.5 and Tier 2 technical support through an enterprise service centre.
n
Investigate, diagnose and resolve incidents within agreed service levels.
n
Accurately triage and escalated technical issues when required.
n
Support enterprise Microsoft Windows desktop and end-user computing environments.
n
Manage devices and ICT environments using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
n
Prioritise tasks, manage your workload and meet agreed deadlines and service levels.
n
Apply ITIL-based service management processes and service quality standards.
n
Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge-base articles, work instructions and support procedures.
n
Provide practical guidance and training to users on desktop environments and business applications.
n
Mentor junior team members and promote consistent support standards and procedures.
n
Contribute to ICT projects, service improvements and operational deliverables.
n
Communicate effectively with users,
technical teams and other stakeholders.
n
n
Skills and experience
n
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
n
n
Experience supporting enterprise Microsoft Windows desktop and end-user computing environments.
n
Strong technical knowledge of ICT configuration, installation, monitoring, support and management.
n
Experience using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
n
Demonstrated experience investigating, diagnosing, remediating, triaging and escalating ICT incidents.
n
Experience working within defined service-level agreements.
n
Strong workload management and task-prioritisation skills.
n
The ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
n
Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL service management processes, or the ability to learn them quickly.
n
Strong written communication skills, including the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
n
Well-developed interpersonal, customer service, negotiation and collaboration skills.
n
Experience training users or mentoring other ICT support staff.
n
An interest in maintaining knowledge of emerging ICT technologies and products.
n
n
Additional requirements
n
The successful candidate may occasionally be required to:
n
n
Work outside standard business hours.
n
Participate in an on-call arrangement.
n
Act as an escalation point during major service interruptions.
n
Travel or temporarily work from other business locations.
n
n
A current C-class driver licence is highly desirable.
n
The successful candidate will also be required to complete mandatory pre-employment screening, including a Criminal History Check.
