Job Description
We are seeking a senior Denodo Lead Solution Architect & Product Owner to take end-to-end ownership of a mission-critical data virtualisation platform within a large enterprise FMCG environment.

This role sits within a managed services delivery team and combines hands-on architecture, platform ownership, and strategic leadership. You will be responsible for running the platform reliably while driving its next phase of transformation, including performance optimisation, cloud integration, and data platform evolution.

Denodo acts as the central integration layer across multiple ERP and enterprise systems, supporting downstream BI, analytics, and emerging data science capabilities. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on business-critical reporting and planning functions.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Own the Denodo platform end-to-end: backlog, roadmap, governance, and BAU operations
n
Design and deliver scalable data virtualisation architecture across Azure and modern data platforms (Fabric, Databricks)
n
Define and enforce standards for data modelling, caching, security, and access control
n
Lead platform performance optimisation, including caching strategies and query tuning
n
Establish CI/CD and version control for Denodo using Azure DevOps
n
Manage vendor engagement, including licensing, upgrades, and escalations
n
Oversee platform operations: SLA adherence, incident management, and job orchestration
n
Act as L3/L4 escalation point for complex technical issues
n
Drive security and governance,



including Azure AD integration and data access controls
n
Mentor and uplift capability across onshore and offshore team
n

Technology Environment

Denodo on Azure (enterprise-scale, high availability setup)
n
Data sources: SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, APIs, flat files
n
Consumers: Power BI, Qlik, Cognos, SAP BO, MuleSoft, Azure analytics platforms
n
High SLA environment with time-critical reporting and data refresh cycles
n
n
Required Experience
n
n
5+ years of hands‐on Denodo experience at Solution Architect/Lead level
n
Strong expertise in: Data virtualisation and integration design; Caching, performance tuning, and optimisation; Security and governance models in Denodo
n
Strong knowledge of Azure data ecosystem (ADLS Gen2, ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL)
n
Experience integrating SAP HANA or similar ERP systems with Denodo
n
Experience with REST APIs and BI tools (Power BI essential)
n
Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
n
Experience working in managed services or complex enterprise environments
n

Nice to Have

Exposure to Databricks / Microsoft Fabric

Experience with Delta Lake / Parquet architectures
n
Complex orchestration using ADF
n
